03/27/2019 - PPS has commenced IMERG data reprocessing for IMERG V06. PPS will begin with GPM-era data, and then reprocess the TRMM-era data. The GPM era will begin with June 2014, while TRMM-era products will span June 2000 - May 2014

03/01/2019 - PPS will be doing a full reprocessing of L2-L3 PRPS MT1 SAPHIR as V06A starting next week. There will also be a CLIM product as with current GPROF data products.

10/30/2018 - TRMM L2-L3 Combined V06 reprocessing is expected to start later this week. Files will appear starting from December 1997 and working forward.

10/24/2018 - PPS has begun processing SSMI Level 1C Version 06A today, October 24. This will only be processed up to Level 1C. It applies to all six SSM/I instruments going back to July 1987. For more details click this link.

10/03/2018 - PPS will begin processing and reprocessing GPM Level 2-3 DPR and Combined data as Version V06A. The switch for these products will begin with October 1, 2018 data. This will be available to the public after October 4, 2018 at the earliest once reviewed and approved by the Science Team.

09/04/2018 - NOAA20 (previously known as JPSS-1) ATMS Level 1-3 products will become available starting today, Tuesday, September 4. The data range begins with November 29, 2017 and will be processed to the current date. The entire data set will be available over the next couple of weeks.

06/29/2018 - TRMM PR L2-L3 reprocessing is expected to begin in early July. Please note that these Version 06A files will be in HDF5 format and will supercede existing TRMM Version 7 products such as 2A21, 2A23, 2A25, and 3A25. The caveat document for these products can be found here.

04/18/2018 - TRMM TMI L2-L3 reprocessing is expected to begin on April 19. Please note that these Version 05A files will be in HDF5 format. Most previous TRMM products had been in HDF4 format, so please update your software if necessary. Files will appear in STORM as they are processed.

02/20/2018 - The STORM Swath-Based Analysis Tool has expanded to include all Level 2 products reprocessed back through the TRMM era. Users can now generate graphs of statistics (and geo-subset orders) based on GPROF precipitation rates for SSMI, AMSUB, and AMSRE, as well as all previously-available instruments.

02/13/2018 - We are beginning to roll out Level 2A PRPS files for the SAPHIR instrument. It is possible to request PRPS files in BUFR format and it is Geographically Subsettable. We are also reprocessing Level 2A GPROF for the TRMM era for AMSRE, SSMI, and AMSUB. This will continue until all datasets are complete.

01/29/2018 - The new STORM User Guide (Version 2.4) is now available. It contains a full guide to using the Swath-Based Analysis Tool to gather statistics about Level 2 products and generate orders based on statistical thresholds!

01/12/2018 - Check out the updated Tools page, now with new CesiumJS visualizations and the Swath-Based Analysis Tool that allows geographically subset orders based on precipitation rate statistics.

11/10/2017 - Beginning November 13, PPS will be generating Version 05 GPM IMERG Final products. These will be available in STORM and on the arthurhou ftp site. V04 IMERG orders will cease on November 12. Click this link for more information.

10/12/2017 - TRMM Era Level 2-3 reprocessing will begin on Monday, October 16 2017. This includes GPROF from F16-18, GCOMW1, METOPA/B, NOAA18/19 and NPP. These products will be produced as GPM Version 05. For more information, click this link.

9/29/2017 - TRMM Version 08 Level 1 reprocessing will begin on Monday, October 2 2017. For more information, click here. Please note that NO Level 1 TRMM Version 07 data is available in STORM effective 1 October.

5/1/2017 - Version 04 is closed out effective April 30. Version 05 products will begin appearing later this month, starting with GPM, and then partner data.

4/7/2017 - IMERG Final Half-Hour, Daily, and Monthly GIS products are now available through the STORM order interface. These zipped archives contain TIFF+World files for global gridded surface precipitation rates.

3/17/2017 - A User Guide to all of the 3D visualization and data exploration tools in STORM is now available.

11/30/2016 - New GPM SLH caveats are available to peruse if you are using this product.

11/30/2016 - New TRMM V7A SLH caveats are available to peruse if you are using this product.

9/19/2016 - STORM orders are now no longer limited to 2000 granules per request. While only 2000 will display in the list, if you check the Select All box on the list, the order will process with the full number of granules in the query.

8/17/2016 - Level 2 and Level 3 products from the NPP ATMS instrument are now available going back to 1 March 2014 in STORM.

6/1/2016 - Parameter Categories are now available in STORM. Make faster parameter subsetting requests by using the preselected categories available in the dropdown at the top of the file tree interface. Let us know if you have any suggestions for other categories that would be useful.

5/13/2016 - STORM Virtual Globe (STORM VG) and an enhanced satellite-satellite coincidence map are now available to improve user decision-making. Learn about them in the STORM 3D User Guide.

3/15/2016 - The GPM NRT Viewer is now available (replacing the GPM GMI NRT Viewer). Interactively view GPM GMI and DPR observations on a 3D Earth with continuously updating data.

STORM Swath-Based Analysis Tool

This tool enables comparisons between domain-aggregated values from different GPM and Partner Instruments. Select one or more instruments, a date range, and a geographic domain. The tool will display statistical values on an interactive graph, with the ability to change what statistics, what instruments, and what colors are displayed. All values are aggregated from swath pixels within the geographic domain selected.
