Subject: PPS No Longer Producing L1- L3 SAPHIR Data Products After Dec. 31, 2021

Dear Science User,

PPS is no longer producing SAPHIR Level 1 through Level 3 Data products after producing year end data for 2021.
The last data day for these products is Friday December 31, 2021.

Both EUMETSAT and NOAA have indicated that they are stopping the distribution of the SAPHIR 1A2 product.  It has been determined that the responsible agencies no longer consider the amount of daily data available from SAPHIR to be significant.

This will affect any science user having standing orders, etc. containing SAPHIR data through STORM or otherwise.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
